I. What is Sedex?

The Sedex audit is a social responsibility audit conducted by ETI for global suppliers of members of the organization. Sedex is short for Supplier Ethical Data Exchange.

Sedex is also known as the ETI audit, or the SMETA audit. This is because Sedex is a data platform built on Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) standards to help companies store labor guidelines within their business, and their customers can share that information. SMETA is the abbreviation of Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit and is one of the most widely used social auditing programs in the world.

IV. Sedex inspection results

In the Sedex audit report, each question item is divided into two results, Follow Up and Desk Top. Since different customers have different requirements for each problem item, there is no strict saying. Which projects can't be Follow Up, and which projects can't even appear with Desk Top, mainly depends on the customer's judgment.
